City surveillance for a fast-growing industrial township
An industrial-township authority faced rising concerns over crime, vandalism and security threats across a rapidly growing area, with no centralized way to monitor it. Across two phases, Enview delivered an IP-based city surveillance system - cameras, an optical-fibre backbone, centralized storage and a video-wall monitoring station - and integrated the township's legacy analog cameras into it.

Background
The township's rapid industrial growth brought increasing concerns about crime, vandalism and potential security threats. The authority needed a centralized surveillance system capable of monitoring large public areas efficiently - enabling proactive security management and faster incident response.
The authority selected Enview for its expertise in large-scale IP-based city surveillance: centralized video management, optical-fibre connectivity, and end-to-end delivery covering installation, commissioning, maintenance and long-term support.
Solution
Enview implemented a complete city surveillance solution across the township in two phases, from street-level cameras and poles to the central monitoring room.
- 37 IP cameras (megapixel and fixed) across the township, on 20 camera poles with civil works
- 15 existing analog cameras integrated into the IP-based system via video encoders
- 5,000 m optical-fibre backbone with centralized storage servers and NAS
- NVRs, video management software and a large-display video wall at the monitoring station
- Remote-viewing client stations, 18 UPS sets, and ongoing OFC maintenance
Implementation
The project was executed in two phases - the first agreed in January 2011, the second in December 2012, with completion in November 2013. Both phases were delivered to the customer's satisfaction: the surveillance infrastructure, fibre backbone, centralized monitoring and maintenance services were commissioned successfully, and the customer confirmed the entire system was functioning well.
